About the Role:

The Pool Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and optimal operation of residential and commercial swimming pools. This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and applying chemical treatments to maintain water quality standards. The technician will be responsible for inspecting pool systems, diagnosing water chemistry problems, and executing repairs or recommending replacements as needed. By providing expert service and customer support, the technician helps enhance the overall pool experience for clients while adhering to health and safety regulations. Ultimately, this role contributes to the longevity and efficiency of pool systems, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and pool equipment operation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Valid California driver license and clean record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in pool and spa maintenance or water chemistry (e.g., Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification).
  • Experience with automated pool systems and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role within the pool service industry.
  • Familiarity with local and state pool safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Basic mechanical or electrical repair skills related to pool equipment.
  • Ability to use or willing to learn computers and phone application as part of daily work routine or.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular pool maintenance including cleaning, vacuuming, skimming, and brushing pool surfaces to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Test and balance pool water chemistry by measuring pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels, and apply appropriate treatments to maintain safe water conditions.
  • Inspect and report for repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and automated systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document service activities, maintain accurate records of chemical usage, repairs, and customer interactions, and communicate effectively with clients regarding pool status and recommendations.
  • Respond promptly to service calls, provide technical advice, and educate customers on pool maintenance best practices and safety protocols.
  • Maintain efficient work pace and able to work independently following company protocol.
  • Flexibility to assist in other related departments.
