Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a friendly part-time Restaurant Associate at South Seas on Captiva Island, Florida. You will take guest orders, serve food and beverages, and help maintain a welcoming dining experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of serving or related work, and the ability to stand and lift up to 40 pounds. We offer a flexible schedule, competitive pay of $12.00 per hour, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 6 months serving, basic bartending, cashiering is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and background check.
  • Must be 18+ to serve alcohol in FL; alcohol awareness certification may be obtained.
  • Food handlers certification may be obtained with South Seas.

Responsibilities

  • Take guest orders and serve food and beverages promptly.
  • Set tables and stations; follow setup checklist.
  • Read and execute a Restaurant BEO form.
  • Maintain knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails.
  • Assist with bussing and pre-shift meetings.

Rate of Pay

fulltime, hourly $12.00 per hour plus the opportunity to make tips

Essential Functions
  • Perform direct communication and hospitality procedures with all guests daily.
  • Pre-shifts with fellow staff and management for all restaurant operations.
  • Properly set all tables and stations; follow appropriate set‑up checklist; take guest orders.
  • Serve all food and beverage items in a timely manner.
  • Proper treatment and storage of food and company equipment.
  • Complete daily shift operation report.
  • Communicate all special guest requests to kitchen.
  • Detail every table and menu before each meal period.
  • Assist with bussing tables "pre-bussing".
  • Must have understanding on how to read and execute a Restaurant BEO form.
  • Possess thorough food, wine and cocktail menu knowledge.
  • Exercise a positive attitude and warm hospitality image.
  • Follow associate schedule and work assignments.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred

Experience: 6 months experience with a background with serving, basic bartending, cashiering is a plus

Required: Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed

Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL

Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations - can receive with South Seas)

Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations - can receive with South Seas)

Skills and Abilities

Fluent in English language, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English; other languages valuable. This position holds multiple job functions at once, a great multitasker. Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity. Works well in stressful, high‑pressure situations – fast paced environment. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests. Teamwork is essential and critical in this role. Impeccable standards of appearance and grooming. Maintains proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel.

Working Conditions

Position requires you to be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able work in different types of extreme weather, including high temperatures. Position will be required to work indoors and outside.

Hours Required

Part‑Time, flexible schedule, may be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
