Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel seeks a friendly Pool Server to deliver attentive food and beverage service by the pool, taking orders, serving items, and assisting guests in a relaxing outdoor setting.

You will greet guests, explain menus, ensure timely delivery, maintain cleanliness, handle payments, and support pool and bar teams. Prior F&B experience and the ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior food and beverage experience in a restaurant, lounge, or resort setting.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds and carry trays through the pool deck.

Responsibilities

• Greet pool guests, provide menus and towels, and assist as needed.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay to bar/kitchen.
• Deliver orders promptly and monitor sections for guest needs.
• Maintain knowledge of pool menus and seasonal offerings.
• Process payments for checks and room charges, maintain cleanliness.
• Support pool service attendants and bar teams for coordinated service.
• Attend training sessions and participate in opening/closing duties.

What You Will Do

• Greet pool guests warmly and provide menus, towels, or basic assistance as needed
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the bar or kitchen
• Deliver food, beverages, and amenities in a timely and polished mannerMonitor assigned sections, anticipating guest needs and ensuring continuous service
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of pool menus, specials, and seasonal offerings
• Assist guests with recommendations, dietary needs, or special requests
• Process payments accurately for checks, room charges, and card transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, cabanas, lounge chairs, and walkways
• Clear used items promptly and reset seating areas for the next guests
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and poolside food-handling guidelines
• Support pool service attendants and bar teams to ensure coordinated service
• Assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
