Job summary

Tandem Living is seeking a part-time Security Guard to cover on-site shifts across our Lancaster, PA campuses. The role protects residents, visitors, and staff, following Tandem Living policies while maintaining a visible security presence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a PA driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience, and prior security experience is preferred. The position offers flexible shifts and minimum monthly requirements.

• Previous security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact for visitors and contractors; remain at post during shift.
• Ensure sign-in procedures are followed accurately per policies.
• Provide directions within the community.
• Identify, report, and respond to safety or security concerns.
• Conduct motorized or walking patrols to protect residents and property.

These unique roles offer flexibility for candidates to pick up shifts as needed, based on their availability and our staffing needs. This role supports all three Tandem Living campuses. Flexibility with shifts and availability across campuses is strongly preferred.

Current Opening:

POOL (as needed), with a minimum shift requirement each month.

TheSecurity Guardprovides safety and security services to protect residents, visitors, and staff on property. This position is performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PA Driver’s License & a minimum of 2 years driving experience required.
• Previous security experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Is the first contact for visitors, vendors, volunteers, and contractors etc. when they enter campus. Remains at post throughout scheduled shift.
• Professionally and accurately ensures completion of the sign‑in process for those entering the building. Follows Tandem Living's written policies and procedures.
• Provides visitors with directions to the proper location within the community.
• Identifies, reports, and responds to concerns or issues with breaches in security, fire safety, resident wellbeing, etc.
• Completes motorized and/or walking patrols regularly throughout the assigned shift. Monitors and ensures the safety and security of residents, staff, and property.
