Job summary

The Bethesda Hospital, Inc. pharmacy department seeks a Pharmacy Tech for per diem shifts in Boynton Beach. You will support licensed pharmacists by filling and labeling medications, stocking Pyxis, and delivering meds to patient care areas.

The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and adherence to hospital policies. Minimum one year of experience; hospital experience and PTCB/ICPT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Additional Qualifications: Hospital experience preferred which may include internship training hours. Maintains PTCB or ICPT Certification. Three years of experience may substitute for the required certification.

Responsibilities

The Technician will follow well-defined instructions utilizing necessary skills to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Mastery of these duties include but are not limited to: Filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering Medications to Patient Care Areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff, maintaining medication stock levels, maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.
