Baptist Health in Coral Gables, FL is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role includes filling/labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering meds, preparing IV admixtures, handling calls, and managing stock.

Estimated pay ranges are $18.15–$23.60 per hour depending on experience. Minimum requirements include High School diploma or equivalent and being a registered Pharmacy Technician.

• the role requires hospital experience preferred.

Description

The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff. Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task. Estimated pay range for this position is $18.15 - $23.60 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Qualifications

• Hospital experience preferred, PTCB or ICPT Certification preferred.
