Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team in Boynton Beach. You will support pharmacists by filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering meds to patient care areas, and preparing IV admixtures under supervision.

This role requires completion of high school and a Pharmacy Technician certification; hospital experience and PTCB/ICPT certification are preferred. Minimum one year of experience and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Hospitals prefer candidates with internship hours or hospital exposure.
• PTCB or ICPT certification is desirable.
• Three years of experience may substitute for the certification.

Mastery of these duties include but are not limited to: Filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering Medications to Patient Care Areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff, maintaining medication stock levels, maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Mentoring and training of students.
