Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a busy hospital pharmacy. You will assist with preparation and distribution of drugs, maintain accurate inventory, and keep records under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The role requires a Florida license/registration, and at least one year of pharmacy technician experience, with two years in a hospital setting preferred.

Formación

• Must be a registered pharmacy technician with Florida license or Compact State registration.
• Two years of hospital or health-system experience; one year as a pharmacy technician.
• Pharmacy technician duties performed under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State And/Or
• Registered Pharmacy Technician
• CPhT- Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Two years of experience in a hospital or health system required. One year prior pharmacy technician experience required.
