Job summary

Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina is seeking a Pool Operator Assistant Manager to support daily operations of the pool facility. The role involves opening/closing duties, supervising lifeguards, and ensuring high-quality customer service for guests.

The position requires strong leadership, communication, and safety awareness, with a preference for ARC Water Safety Instructor credentials and current CPR/AED certifications.

Qualifications

• Three to six month experience in an aquatic setting.
• Lifeguard certification required.
• ARC, Water Safety Instructor – preferred but not required.
• Current certification in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED/FPR.

Responsibilities

• Attend to daily operation of aquatic facilities, including opening/closing and supervising lifeguards.
• Supervise staff and assign duties.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries.
• Regulate water chemistry and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Ensure safety by following state/local regulations; enforce safety policies.
• Keep supervisor informed of safety issues and complete reports for the Pool Manager.
