Basic Function
The position of Water Quality Technician is responsible for the overall cleanliness of pools. They oversee and make adjustments to chemical and filtration equipment. Their job may include general maintenance as well to maintain the facility.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. College degree preferred.
Experience: Preferred: 1 year in water park operations or work related field.
Certification/Licensure: Must be able to obtain CPO certification within 6 months of hire.
Working Conditions: Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands. Must be able to work independently. Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Must be able to work varied shifts; including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Positive and effective customer service skills. Teamwork orientation. Accuracy, thoroughness and self-monitoring to ensure quality work. Proficient in safe operation of water vacuum. Motivated self-starter. Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and read, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is generally moderate to high.
