Job summary

SPS PoolCare is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee in Henderson, NV. You will support the cleaning and maintenance of client pools under supervision, learning to balance chemicals, test water, and maintain equipment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience, with the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform hands-on tasks in aquatic facilities. Training will cover safety and water chemistry concepts.

Qualifications

• Adequate sight and hearing to interpret water analysis and readings.
• Physically able to perform all cleaning, checking and monitoring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain pools and facilities.
• Skim, vacuum, and perform chemical treatments.
• Regularly test pool water for pH, chlorine, bacteria, algae or contaminants.
• Receive training from Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct color, chemistry and clarity of water.
• Calculate and add chemical treatments to balance pH and eliminate contaminants.
• Inspect pool and equipment.
• Complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage and water quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee will maintain pools at client's and associated facilities for the company.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to regularly test pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.
• Receives training from the Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
• Inspects pool and equipment.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
