Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and chemical treatments.
• Performs deep cleaning including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Tests pool water for pH, chlorine, bacteria, algae and other data.
• Ensures correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to balance pH and safety.
• Inspects pool and equipment; troubleshoots and repairs issues.
• Completes daily logs of chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Resolves client or customer problems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Pool Service Maintenance Specialist I will maintain pools at client’s and associated facilities for the company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Cleans and maintains filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Regularly tests pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.
• Ensures correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
• Inspects pool and equipment; troubleshoots and repairs identified issues.
• Completes and maintains daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Resolves client or customer problems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Extensive understanding of repairs, automation, equipment, and piping related to swimming pools.
• Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment.
• Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain logs and records.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
• Must have adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret water analysis, equipment readings, and complete recordkeeping.
• Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and facilities.
