Socket.dev is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to support pool care at client sites in Cave Creek, AZ. You’ll learn under a Pool Service Specialist and handle basic cleaning, chemical treatments, and routine maintenance.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Strong customer service and mechanical skills help ensure water quality and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to regularly test pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.
• Receives training from the Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
• Inspects pool and equipment.
• Assists Pool Service Specialist to complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
