Job summary

SPS PoolCare is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to support cleaning and maintaining pools at client sites and associated facilities. You will assist with chemical treatments, water testing, and daily logs under supervision.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, 1 year of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Training will cover safety, chemistry, and recordkeeping in aquatic facilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment.
• Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Assist Pool Service Specialist to regularly test pool water for pH, chlorine, contaminants, and other data.
• Receive training from the Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
• Inspects pool and equipment.
• Assist Pool Service Specialist to complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
