Join the Marine Corps Community Services as a Supervisor for Aquatic Recreational Activities. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and enjoyment of swimmers while managing aquatic programs. Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our team! We offer a team-oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in aquatic recreational activities; a minimum of one year of supervisory experience is preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to operate and perform maintenance on pool equipment. Understanding of and the ability to enforce strict safety regulations to ensure maximum protection of swimmers. Must have knowledge of pool water chemistry and the ability to use equipment to take pool readings.
Current nationally recognized certifications: Lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent. Must obtain within 6 months of hire a nationally recognized Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor certification or equivalent. Must be able to pass an initial and recurrent physical ability test.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI), which are required for positions involving work with children under 18 years of age.
