Center for Public Partnerships & Research at the University of Kansas invites applications for Instructor positions in the School of Business. Instructors serve as part-time or full-time faculty, non-tenure track, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses on Lawrence Campus, off-campus programs, and/or online programs.
Duties include course preparation, instruction, consultations, and assignment of grades.
Position Overview
Instructors serve as either part-time or full-time members of the faculty in the School of Business. FTE is determined by the course load. Instructors are a non-tenure track faculty position. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/or graduate courses offered by the School of Business on the Lawrence Campus, off campus programs, and/or online programs.
Applications will be reviewed and placed in a pool to be considered for teaching positions as needed. Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Appointments are one semester, renewable, subject to review and funding. The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.
The Instructor is a union covered position within the collective bargaining unit represented by United Academics of KU, AFT-AAUP, AFL-CIO; UAKU is the exclusive bargaining representative. As the State of Kansas is a right to work state, you have the right to be a member or not to be a member of the union without fear of personal or professional repercussions.
100% Teaching. Teach one or more courses in Business Analytics, Information or Operations . Courses may be required or electives, in undergraduate or graduate programs, and range from 1-4 credit hours. Duties include but are not limited to: course preparation, instruction, consultations, and assignment of grades. Instructors should abide by the area's, School's and University's policies and procedures.
