The University of Kansas in Lawrence invites applications for instructors in the School of Business. Duties include teaching one or more courses in Business Analytics, Information, or Operations, for undergraduate and/or graduate programs, on-campus or online as needed.
Positions may be part-time or full-time and are non-tenure track. The appointment is for one semester, renewable, contingent on review and funding, with annual background checks and union participation details as described in the
Instructors serve as either part-time or full-time members of the faculty in the School of Business. FTE is determined by the course load. Instructors are a non-tenure track faculty position. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/or graduate courses offered by the School of Business on the Lawrence Campus, off campus programs, and/or online programs.
Applications will be reviewed and placed in a pool to be considered for teaching positions as needed. Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Appointments are one semester, renewable, subject to review and funding. The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.
The Instructor is a union covered position within the collective bargaining unit represented by United Academics of KU, AFT-AAUP, AFL-CIO; UAKU is the exclusive bargaining representative. 100% Teaching. Teach one or more courses in Business Analytics, Information or Operations. Courses may be required or electives, in undergraduate or graduate programs, and range from 1-4 credit hours. Duties include but are not limited to: course preparation, instruction, consultations, and assignment of grades. Instructors should abide by the area's, School's and University's policies and procedures.
