The University of Kansas School of Business seeks instructors to teach one or more courses in Business Analytics, Information or Operations on the Lawrence Campus, off campus programs, or online. Appointments are one semester, renewable, non-tenure track, with teaching duties including course prep, instruction, consultations, and grading.
Applicants should have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and a proven record of teaching or professional mentorship.
Instructors serve as either part-time or full-time members of the faculty in the School of Business. FTE is determined by the course load. Instructors are a non-tenure track faculty position. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/or graduate courses offered by the School of Business on the Lawrence Campus, off campus programs, and/or online programs.
Appointments are one semester, renewable, subject to review and funding.
The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.
The Instructor is a union covered position within the collective bargaining unit represented by United Academics of KU, AFT-AAUP, AFL-CIO; UAKU is the exclusive bargaining representative. 100% Teaching. Teach one or more courses in Business Analytics, Information or Operations. Courses may be required or electives, in undergraduate or graduate programs, and range from 1-4 credit hours. Duties include but are not limited to: course preparation, instruction, consultations, and assignment of grades. Instructors should abide by the area's, School's and University's policies and procedures.
