Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is hiring a full-time Pool Technician to maintain and repair our pool facilities across branch locations. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot pumps, motors, and filtration systems, and assist with minor repairs at branches as needed.

The role requires driving to sites and coordinating with staff. Hours are typically 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must pass a background check and MVR with clean driving record.
• Own tools are helpful but not required.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Demonstrated background in painting, drywall repair, minor electrical and plumbing.
• Experience with pool pumps, motors, and filtration systems preferred but not required.
• Able to do small deck repair and plaster.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pool facilities at YMCA branch locations and perform repairs as needed.
• Lead and train staff on pool equipment operation and shutdown procedures.
• Respond to maintenance work orders promptly and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with branches on schedule and preventive maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
