Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor behavior of all Club Members and guests on Buccaneer Island.
• Ensure Club-appropriate decorum is displayed at all times.
• Enforce rules to maintain a family-friendly environment.
• Ensure adherence to posted policies and procedures.
• Communicate Club Policy professionally to patrons and staff.
• Be highly visible to guests throughout the day.
• Document incidents, complaints, or suggestions daily to Supervisor.
• Maintain safe working environment and proper relations with members and guests.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily operations of beach and pool equipment.

Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

To effectively monitor the behavior of all Club patrons, ensuring all Club policies, traditions, and procedures are adhered to at all times on Buccaneer Island. Special attention should be paid to dress code adherence on Buccaneer Island, ensuring Club-appropriate, family-friendly, behavior and decorum are displayed by patrons at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible to continually monitor the behavior of all Club Members and guest on Buccaneer Island.
• Ensure proper Club-appropriate decorum is displayed at all times by Buccaneer Island patrons.
• Through effective and consistent rules enforcement efforts, ensure Buccaneer Island’s family friendly environment is maintained.
• Ensure all posted policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Consistently display the ability to communicate Club Policy in a professional manner.
• Be highly visible throughout the day for all patrons to access
• Track daily reminders as to see historical decreases over time.
• Communicate clearly with departmental management, and Club Membership Department, Members or Guests who display an unwillingness to follow Club rules.
• Display the ability to receive Member and Guest feedback in a professional manner.
• Ensure only Club Members and registered Club guests are accessing the facility.
• Maintain positive, professional relations with Club Members and guests.
• Monitor all facility functions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist Club Members and guests with departmental related requests in a timely manner.
• Assist fellow Recreation Department Team Members with maintaining a clean, tidy facility at all times.
• Assist fellow Recreation Department Team Members with standard opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure all procedures for rental of aquatics, charges of the retail operations and daily operation procedures of beach and pool equipment are adhered to.
• Report to Supervisor any and all incidents, complaints or suggestions given on a daily basis – and document any necessary incidents.

OTHER

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operations of hotel facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions this position may require a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time put in to be determined by the Supervisor.

• Must be able to play a supporting role in other Buccaneer Island departments for periods when deemed necessary.
