Job summary

Lincoln County School District No. 1 is seeking a dedicated Pool Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting swimming environment for patrons and students. This part-time role involves cleaning the pool area, monitoring water quality, and assisting with event setup.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent), prior custodial experience, and strong attention to detail, plus excellent communication and teamwork skills to support a busy recreation facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the pool area, including decks, restrooms, and surrounding facilities.
• Monitor water quality and chemical levels, conducting tests and adjusting as necessary to ensure safe swimming conditions.
• Remove debris from the pool and surrounding areas, including leaves, trash, and other contaminants.
• Inspect pool equipment and facilities regularly, reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of pool events and activities as needed.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting guests as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, water quality tests, and maintenance performed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall cleanliness and functionality of the pool area.
