Job summary

Delray Sands Resort is hiring for an Outdoor Pool and Beach Attendant to join our beachfront team in Florida. The role is hourly plus tipping and includes full-time and part-time opportunities.

Duties range from daily setup and breakdown of beach and pool areas to towel service, umbrella/chair setup, and guest assistance. Responsibilities include greeting guests, anticipating needs, maintaining guest relations, and ensuring cleanliness and safety across pool and beach areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience is a plus, especially in guest-facing roles.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent guest service and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 20 lbs and carry up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly manner.
• Anticipates guests’ needs and responds promptly.
• Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
• Keeps knowledge of daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures, and hours of operation for all outlets.
• Obtains towels from Laundry and transports them to the pool deck; folds and stacks towels.
• Sets up pool deck, furniture, towels, umbrellas, and cabanas.
• Removes trash and debris from work areas and pool facilities.
• Cleans pool deck (sweeping, washing, mopping) and ensures safe conditions.
• Monitors restrooms for supply levels and cleanliness; reports needs.
• Follows pool safety procedures, including weather-related safety rules.
• Collects dirty towels and returns them to Laundry.
• Utilizes first aid and lifesaving procedures when needed.
• Completes closing duties and returns soiled towels.
