Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of group fitness instruction experience.
• Nationally recognized Group Fitness or Aquatic Fitness certification.
• Specialty certifications for Zumba, Yoga, Cycle or Pilates.
• CPR/AED certification with hands-on in-person evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead scheduled group fitness classes.
• Maintain a safe environment and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Secure substitutes when unable to cover.
• Maintain equipment log and report issues.
• Promote events for customers and the community.
• Document class attendance accurately.
• Mentor new employees in class operations.
• Engage with customers and colleagues professionally.
• Attend meetings and stay current on fitness practices.
• Perform other duties as required.
