Job summary

Omni Las Colinas is seeking a passionate bartender to deliver efficient, friendly service in a luxury setting along the Mandalay Canal in Irving, TX. You will know the bar offerings, maintain cleanliness, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

This role supports an upscale dining and resort experience, with opportunities for growth within Omni Hotels & Resorts and its celebrated LRH Restaurant & Bar.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Must have Food Handlers and TIPS/TABC certification.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, anticipate needs, and respond to inquiries.
• Must have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Accurately take orders and record transactions in Micros system.
• Set up and reset the bar; breakdown after service.
• Communicate professionally with management, kitchen, and staff.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by following laws.
• Contribute to a professional workplace that boosts morale and productivity.
• Work well with Front of House and Back of House teams.
• Upsell products to guests and manage tabs.

Overview:

The bartender will provide efficient, friendly customer service and maintain a clean, professional appearance. He/She will ensure guests are satisfied promptly and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Must have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of bar area.
• Properly provide silverware and condiments prior to food being presented at bar area.
• Clean and reset the bar area as guests depart or preparation of a drink is completed.
• Proper bar setup and breakdown.
• Triple sink procedures.
• Communicate with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff professionally at all times.
• Contributes to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
• Works well with a diverse Front of House and Back of House staff.
• Ensures responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and consumption.
• Accurately takes food and beverage orders from guests and promptly records all transactions in the Micros system.
• Maintains guest tabs and processes payment promptly.
• Monitors pars.
• Sells and upsells product.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience, high volume & casual environment preferred.
• Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must have wine, beer, and spirits knowledge.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TIPS/TABC.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work outdoors.
