Job summary

Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale is seeking a pool bartender to deliver exceptional service by preparing and serving beverages to guests in a welcoming, high-energy pool environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, checking IDs, maintaining a clean bar area, restocking, handling cash, and coordinating with Front Desk on occupancy and group needs while adhering to laws and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of bartending experience preferred.
• Able to work most weekends and holidays.
• Experience operating a computer or POS system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Check I.D.s as required and ensure guest safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area and restock supplies.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Open and close bar procedures; follow safety and liquor laws.

Overview

A Kolter Hospitality Pool Bartender delivers service excellence to our guests and creates a welcoming and comfortable environment. This position is responsible for setting up, preparing, and serving food and beverages.

Performance Expectations

• Prepare beverages according to Company recipes and standards including signature cocktails.
• Properly check I.D.s
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials.
• Aide in bar promotions.
• Engage guests in a cordial, efficient and professional manner.
• Process and collect payments from guests.
• Count the bank at the beginning and end of shifts and follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, while ensuring all supplies are clean and sanitized throughout the entire shift.
• Perform all bars set up and restocking/replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Know and comply with food handling and liquor laws.
• Report any items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.
• Check with Front Desk team for occupancy and current groups in house.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.

Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling.
