Job summary

Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel in Vinton, Louisiana is looking for a Pool Attendant to provide excellent service to guests at the pool. This role includes providing food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in hospitality, be knowledgeable about food and wine, and possess a flexible schedule. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including health care plans and paid time off.

Job description

The Pool Attendant is a vital member of the service team, providing a warm welcome to all guests as they enter the pool area, and providing general Food & Beverage service to guests in and around the pool area. The Pool Server will be responsible for providing amenities to guests and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the Pool areas.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet the guest by name if known with genuine smile, eye contact, enthusiasm, and engaging expression
  • Introduce first‑time guests to facilities and services
  • Provide Food & Beverage service to guests in lounges and cabanas
  • Present the menu with helpful explanations of dishes and beverages
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, input into POS system
  • Serve drinks and food promptly, ensuring cleanliness of Pool areas
  • Act as a liaison between guests, management, service staff, and the kitchen
  • Demonstrate professionalism and attentiveness throughout the dining experience
  • Perform side work and provide pool amenities
  • Contribute to safety and sanitization protocols for a healthy work environment
  • Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests.
  • Set up and close the pool deck each shift according to Auberge standards.
  • Assist guests with arrival to spa treatments on time
  • Properly answer guest inquiries
  • Provide the pool area with fresh, clean towels and remove dirty towels and other items from the pool area
  • Ensure dirty linens are taken to laundry nightly and clean linen is always stocked
  • Present the food and beverage menu. Take food and beverage orders from the guest, suggesting signature items.
  • Ability to pick up, serve drink and/or food orders exactly as requested to the correct guest, briefly announcing each drink/food as it is presented.
  • Replenish the beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Provide guests with “surprise and delights” hourly during their pool experience.
  • Report any and all maintenance issues to management regarding pool/umbrellas/furniture/etc
