We’d love to see you there to explore exciting career opportunities in the food & beverage industry!

Required Availability: Weekend availability from April through May, full-time during Memorial Day through pool season.

At Southall, we are looking for Pool Attendants, Hosts, Pool Servers, and Bartenders to help us continue our journey to inspire culinary consciousness—showcasing fresh, seasonal fare that highlights the path from seed to plate. Our dining experiences take place just steps from where our ingredients are grown and raised. These team members will be responsible for guiding guests through the menu, anticipating their needs, and delivering the highest level of personalized service and attention to our guests enjoying our pool amenities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide timely and attentive service to our guests by being knowledgeable about pool and cocktail menu offerings.
  2. Greet and seat guests at their designated pool chairs or day beds, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
  3. Communicate guest orders, including any special needs or requests, to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food and beverage timings.
  4. Check completed kitchen orders against the guest’s original order and transport items to the guest in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
  5. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  6. Read each table and lounge chair to assess guest needs, e.g., clean towels, suntan lotion, ice water, creating a customized experience for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and inn guests alike.
  7. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; settle voided checks or complimentary meals appropriately.
  8. Assist with breakdown, cleaning, and setup of tables and chairs.
  9. Support other areas of Food & Beverage during busy periods or in the absence of team members.

Skills and Experience:

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the guest.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Preferred experience in a luxury resort, exclusive club, or high-end spa setting.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
