Job summary

The Charleston Place is seeking a part-time Pool Attendant to warmly greet guests and guide them to poolside seating. You will help maintain an immaculate pool area and assist with beverage service during peak times, ensuring Forbes Standards of guest experience are met.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong English communication, and a friendly, calm demeanor. Basic Charleston area knowledge is a plus; foreign language skills are welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with hotel guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests.
• Proficient in memorizing and articulately explaining extensive food, beverage, ingredient, and daily special options to guests.
• Ability remain calm under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.
• Possess a strong positive attitude and ability to initiate light conversation with guests.
• Basic knowledge of Charleston and surrounding areas.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Additional foreign language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock side stands with essential supplies for smooth operations.
• Assist food and beverage servers during busy periods for timely service.
• Know menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and beverages.
• Clear, bus, and reset tables to keep dining and lounge areas pristine.
• Polish silverware and glassware for luxury presentation.
