Job summary

Smoker Craft, Inc. is seeking a Configuration & Scheduling Specialist to drive our Pontoon configuration rules and production scheduling from our New Paris, IN plant.

You will translate Engineering data into reliable configuration matrices and collaborate across Engineering, Production, Sales, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance. You will own the Pontoon configuration system and build schedules that adapt to supplier and production realities, ensuring accurate product setup and timely information

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CPQ tools and Syteline or similar ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with data-heavy tools.
• Logical, analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaborative approach.
• Curiosity and ability to learn detailed product information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the internal ordering system by creating rules, option lists, and configuration matrices.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and help teams resolve roadblocks quickly.
• Partner with Sales to refine how our ordering system presents options and guides workflow.
• Build and maintain the Pontoon production schedule, adjusting it as supplier and production needs evolve.
• Communicate schedule changes across Production and Purchasing, ensuring updates in systems and printed materials.
• Track and summarize order volume and backlog for weekly leadership discussions.
