Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a PRN Sleep Technologist to perform polysomnography procedures per physician orders, adapt testing to patient needs, and ensure quality data. You will conduct patient assessments and use hospital resources responsibly to maintain reliable scores.

Requirements include 1+ year of sleep tech experience and active RPSGT certification. An Associate degree is preferred, HS diploma is required. This on-site role operates on the Night shift at the Tavares facility.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a sleep technologist.
• Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) required.
• Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography procedures according to physician orders and department policy.
• Adapt testing procedures and equipment to patients and obtain high-quality data.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and take appropriate action.
• Use hospital equipment and resources responsibly and report concerns to the lead polysomnographer.
• Follow billing and documentation procedures to support reliable scores.

Job Description:

Adapts all needed testing procedures and equipment to patients and obtains quality data.

Conducts thorough patient assessments and takes appropriate action as necessary.

Uses hospital equipment, supplies, and resources responsibly and notifies the lead polysomnographer of any concerns.

Follows procedures for correct billing and documentation of services provided. Strives to achieve reliability scores at a prescribed rate.
