Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a sleep technician to perform polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency tests under licensed medical direction. The role requires handling equipment calibration and ensuring high-quality data collection for accurate diagnostic evaluation of sleep disorders.

Responsibilities include testing, potential scoring, scheduling optimization, billing documentation, and general lab support in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Sleep study testing experience preferred.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34, Act 33 and Act 73 background clearances required.
• Graduate of polysomnography course or approved sleep lab training program.
• Basic EEG course completed.
• RPSGT, CRT, RRT or LPN credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Performs polysomnograms and MS LT s according to clinical guidelines and departmental policy.
• May score test results.
• Maintains calibration, quality control and analysis of polysomnographic equipment.
• Organizes and prioritizes workload and scheduling of patient testing.
• Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
