Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a lead polysomnographic technologist to perform independent sleep testing and analysis, while providing patient care and education. The role includes precepting technicians, training students, and ensuring data quality in accordance with center protocols.

You will review patient information, calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, and assist with CPAP and home testing setups. Strong adherence to safety and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain Polysomnographic Technologist Registration.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Precepts and oversees technicians; trains students and new staff.
• Explain procedures and orient patients to the sleep center.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment; ensure data quality.
• Score sleep stages and clinical events per guidelines.
• Assist with CPAP/home diagnostic setups and compliance.
• Maintain sleep study supplies and equipment care.
• Comply with safety, privacy, and organizational policies.
