Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health System, seeks Sleep Technologist candidates to support sleep studies in the center. You will gather patient data, explain procedures, and ensure proper calibration and electrode placement for accurate PSG results.

The role requires NYS license/registration and at least 2 years of polysomnography experience; CPR/BCLS certification is essential. Strong communication and patient‑facing skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • Must hold NYS OP License and current Polysomnographic Technologist registration or Registration as an RT/RTT competent to perform polysomnographic services; 2 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze patient information; explain procedures and orient patients to the sleep center.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment; apply electrodes and sensors per standards; fit PAP masks.
  • Perform polysomnographic procedures and monitor study quality to ensure artifact‑free signals.
  • Document observations and interventions to assist scoring and interpretation of results.
  • Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and generation of clinical reports.
  • Maintain safety, infection control, and data integrity; respond to inquiries from study participants.
