Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA is seeking a full-time Sleep Technologist to join our team. You will perform comprehensive adult polysomnographic testing, analysis, patient care and education, and related interventions.

The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts (Wed, Thu, Fri, 6:30pm–7am) at 0.9 FTE, with required high school diploma, formal polysomnography education, RPSGT certification, CPR, and at least one year in sleep studies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associate degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or graduate from a CAAHEP Polysomnographic accredited program or graduate of an approved Allied Health program is required.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists is required.
• CPR certified (Health Care Provider Course only acceptable) is also required and must be current and maintained every 2 years.
• Requires minimum of one (1) year working in sleep studies.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information: verifies medical order and protocol; complete and verify documentation; orient patient and explain procedures; use judgment in interpreting and clarifying orders; assess risks and intervenes appropriately.
• Calibrate recording equipment and prepare ancillary equipment; apply electrodes and sensors; fit therapeutic masks; perform physiological calibrations and troubleshoot problems independently.
• Score sleep/wake stages by applying guidelines; score clinical events; generate an accurate report; process information post-test; complete shift-end report as needed.

Education

Associate degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology

Graduate from a CAAHEP Polysomnographic accredited program

Graduate of an approved Allied Health program
