Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of experience working with sleep patients.
• State Licensure and/or professional certification requirements may be required depending on the position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a physician, administers various sleep studies to diagnose sleep disorders.
• Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis.
• The technologist should be registered in sleep technology or be eligible to sit for the registry exam within 6 months of hire.
• Provides testing for all ages (0-99+).
