Job description

Responsibilities
  • Gathers and Analyzes Patient Information Testing Preparation Procedures: Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments, if necessary.
  • Polysomnographic Procedures: Follows procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Polysomnographic Record Scoring: Scores sleep and wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
  • Complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
  • Performs routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
  • Participates in all Joint Commission mandated educational programs including, but not limited to, Infection control, Fire, Electrical and Hazard Safety programs annually.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and program information.
  • Responds to study participant's procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.

Hours

3 - 12 hour shifts a week

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Clinical Experience AND Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
