Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join our Sleep Medicine team. The Technologist will evaluate and provide optimal sleep studies as approved by medical directors.

This role requires RPSGT upon start for this position and involves coordinating home sleep apnea testing and respiratory care within an academic medical center. Licensed Respiratory Therapist with CRT or RRT credentials is required, along with BLS certification and strong collaboration with colleagues to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or related field or equivalent.
  • CRT or RRT credentials required; Nebraska licensure.
  • RPSGT certification due within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

  • Oversee home sleep apnea testing and PSG data acquisition.
  • Coordinate respiratory care and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with Sleep Medicine team in an academic medical center.

Polysomnographic Technologist - Sleep Medicine

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Polysomnographic Tech to join our Sleep Medicine team! The Polysomnographic Technologist in this role will be responsible for evaluating and providing optimal sleep studies as accepted by the medical directors of sleep medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the pulmonary services director.

*Registered Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT) required upon start for this particular role.*

Position Description: Sleep Tech

Collaborate with the Sleep Medicine team to oversee home sleep apnea testing, manage respiratory care coordination, and ensure high-quality patient care within an academic medical center environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience required.
  • Minimum of four years of respiratory and sleep experience required.
  • Respiratory Therapist credentials (CRT or RRT) and licensure in the State of Nebraska required.
  • Registered Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT) by BRPT within one year of hire required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner License in Nebraska required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a respiratory therapist preferred.
  • Prior HSAT/PSG scoring experience preferred.
  • Previous clinical experience in a sleep lab environment preferred.
  • Experience with equipment utilized in the scope of practice preferred.Experience with quality assurance and policy processes preferred.
  • Computer experience with data management preferred.
