Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO, seeks a Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) for day shift, full-time. You will monitor sleep studies, manage PAP therapies, and coordinate care with clinicians. The role requires CPSGT and BRPT eligibility within 18 months, plus BLS/CPR. Qualifications

  • Current CPSGT credential required.
  • BRPT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist eligibility within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare Providers.
  • Available to work varying shifts, including night shift.
  • Specific certifications or skills as required by facility (PALS, ACLS, NRP).

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic sleep studies.
  • Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies.
  • Completes record keeping and charting.
  • Address and solve technical and interpersonal problems.
  • Demonstrated communication skills.
  • Use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
  • Perform overnight polysomnographic studies with PAP therapy.
  • Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
  • Obtain 10 Continuing Education Credits related to sleep medicine annually.

Job Description:The CPSGT is accountable for performing, coordinating, and documenting physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. The CPSGT, working with minimal supervision, provides care and education to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other health care professionals.
