The Polysomnographer Technologist conducts comprehensive sleep disorder evaluations under supervision, including polysomnography, diagnostics, therapy, patient care, and education.

  • Prepares, calibrates, and adjusts testing equipment and applies electrodes per standards.
  • Performs physiologic calibrations and positive airway pressure fittings.
  • Follows protocols for sleep tests, establishing baseline values and monitoring data quality.
  • Documents sleep stages, clinical events, and procedural changes to support accurate scoring and interpretation.
  • Implements safety and therapeutic interventions, including positive airway pressure therapies.
  • Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events per guidelines and generates detailed reports.
  • Oversees complex procedures, demonstrates age-specific patient care, and performs other duties as assigned.
