Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a certified Sleep Tech to perform polysomnography, daytime testing, and home sleep test prep. The candidate will analyze studies, prepare reports, and support clinical staff during the 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities include electrode application, PAP fittings, data collection, and patient education. Must have an RPSGT, a CAAHEP/STAR program, and BLS. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP or STAR-designated Polysomnography Program
• Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and testing procedures
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and effective time management skills

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet specific needs.
• Complete and verify documentation.
• Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning.
• Prepare home sleep testing equipment for patient use and educate patients on equipment use.
• Apply electrodes and sensors for in-lab studies according to accepted standards.
• Perform physiologic calibration to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.
• Perform PAP mask fitting.
• Clean and maintain all equipment.
• Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
• Establish and document baseline values during testing.
• Perform data acquisition while monitoring study tracing quality.
• Document routine observations and significant events for scoring and interpretation.
• Implement interventions for patient safety and therapeutic needs.
• Verify data integrity and complete data collection.
• Demonstrate age-specific care knowledge.
• Perform difficult procedures as required.
