Job summary

BayCare Health System’s Sleep Disorders Center at Morton Plant Hospital seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist II for night shifts to perform sleep studies and ensure alignment with AASM, AAST, and BRPT standards.

Qualifications

• Polysomnography experience: 1 year required.
• EEG experience: 1 year required.
• RRT/CRT or equivalent through BRPT preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sleep Disorders Center procedures per AASM/AAST/BRPT standards.
• Supervise Sleep Technologist I as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and data accuracy during testing.

Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System - Sleep Disorders
• Location: Morton Plant Hospital
• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Work: Occasional

The Polysomnographic Technologist II is responsible for the performance of all the Sleep Disorders Center procedures in accordance with technical standards in the essential job functions approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST), and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). A Sleep Technologist II can provide supervision of a Sleep Technologist I.

Experience

Required:

• Polysomnography - 1 year required
• Electroencephalography (EEG) - 1 year required
• OR Respiratory Therapist (RRT) 1 year required
• Preferred
• 1 year Polysomnography

Education

Required:

• High school or equivalent
• Technical Diploma/Associates Degree - Polysomnographic; Or Technical - Electroencephalogram (EEG); Or Technical Respiratory Therapy

Credentials

Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RPSGT (polysomnography) / RRT/CRT / Relevant Specialty
