Job summary

Munson Healthcare Careers is seeking a Sleep Technician for a Remote Scoring Position in Michigan. This PRN - As Needed on Days role focuses on scoring polysomnograms, analyzing sleep data, and generating reports in accordance with AASM guidelines.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, BRPT/NBRC/ABRET certification (or eligibility), and demonstrated competence with PSG and HSAT equipment. Vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella and annual flu shot are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BRPT/NBRC/ABRET certification or eligibility preferred.
• BRPT/RPSGT or NBRC/ABRET or equivalent credentials strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Score polysomnograms and generate reports per sleep study data.
• Follow current AASM guidelines for adults, children and infants.
• Troubleshoot HSAT problems and center equipment.
• Assist sleep center new employee orientation as directed.
• Support supply inventory in the absence of the Manager.

Job Description

A Day inthe Life

• Proficient in all areas of sleep study including calibration, monitoring, measurement, documentationand treatment (PSG, PAP Titration, CO2 Monitoring, Oxygen Administration, etc.)
• Score the polysomnogram and generate reportssummarizing sleep/wake period, REM episodes, arousal analysis, EEG phenomena, cardiac events, respiratory events, limb movements, and other physiological events according to current AASM guidelines noted in adults,childrenand infants.
• Troubleshooting of HSAT problems as well in centerequipment
• Assistswith sleep center new employee orientation as directed
• Responsible forsupplyinventory maintenance in the absence of the Manager.

Qualifications

What's Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Highly Preferred: BRPT/NBRC/ABRET:
• Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) (RPSGT) OR
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) with some sleep experience preferred OR
• Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) with some sleepexperience preferred.
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
