Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital seeks a Sleep Lab Technologist for the Springdale campus night shift. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services under indirect supervision, score sleep stages, and prepare patients for studies using sensing equipment and electrodes.

Salary ranges from $20.50 to $25.60 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements include graduation from a Sleep Technology program and relevant certification prospects.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Sleep Technology (Polysomn) program.
• Certificate required.
• Recommended BRPT certification: RPSGT.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and effective patient care addressing age-specific needs.
• Monitors stay and scores sleep stages per AASM guidelines.
• Prepares patients, applies sensing equipment and electrodes.
• Monitors patient and records data during sleep study.
• Collaborates with team to facilitate patient care.
• Maintains clean, safe environment and regulatory standards.
• Provides feedback and initiates changes to improve care and work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preparing each patient for the sleep study, reviewing their medical history, and applying sensing equipment and electrodes to them before they begin the study.4. During the sleep study the technologist monitors patient and records data.5. Collaborates with other team members and departments to facilitate patient care across the continuum.6. Maintains a clean and safe evironment conductive to meeting customer needs and regaulatory standards.7. Provides feedback, reports, & initiates changes to improve patient care and/or the work environment.8. Other duties as assigned.
