Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science or related field preferred.
• BS in Chemistry or Material Science with 3 years’ experience, or MS with 1 year.
• Experience with polymer science, polymerization and polymer characterization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates new technologies to develop products meeting market demand.
• Designs and synthesizes new and known polymers.
• Evaluates polymers using current test methods and develops new methods as needed.
• Formulates polymers using existing techniques or new strategies.
• Performs testing and collects data on adhesive formulae and polymers.
• Analyzes data and decides actions; contributes to problem solving.
• Travels to visit and consult with customers when needed.
• Observes safety and environmental guidelines in handling materials.
