Job summary

Techmer PM is seeking a QC Technician for our Clinton, Tennessee facility on the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Sunday–Friday).

The starting rate is $18.50 and up depending on experience, with a broad benefits package and opportunities for annual salary reviews and bonuses. You will certify manufactured products for compliance with P&P specifications, perform product testing, online color adjustments, and disposition nonconforming items.

Qualifications

High School Diploma
Minimum 2 years of compounding or lab experience
Prior experience using a color spectrophotometer
Strong written and verbal communication in English
Spanish proficiency a plus
Knowledge of basic mathematics for analytics

Responsibilities

Operates injection molding, blown film, pellet melter, roll mills and fiber lines as applicable.
Uses Melt Indexer and moisture/volatile analyzers for plastics testing.
Performs inspections per the Product & Process specification.
Adjusts color on-line or off-line; collaborates on run vs. pull decisions.
Uses statistical tools like SQC/SPC where applicable.
Identifies out-of-control data points and takes action as needed.
Completes Certificate of Analysis with required information.
Investigates nonconforming materials/products and takes proper action.
Maintains QC files and references standards for upcoming runs.
