Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Morristown, TN is seeking a Chemist to support QA/QC in a 3rd shift position (10:00 PM–7:00 AM, M-F). The role involves testing raw materials, in-process and finished products, and ensuring data validity.

The successful candidate will hold a chemistry degree, have 0–2 years lab experience, and be proficient with analytical techniques and MS Office. On-site work with travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in an analytical lab or related industries.
• Proficiency in laboratory skills with training in chemistry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to work third shift M-F.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, packaging, in-process and finished products.
• Participate in investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain lab quality systems and troubleshoot instruments.
• Conduct IQ/OQ/PQ activities and verify lab instruments.
• Safely handle reagents and dispose of chemical waste per regulations.
• Prepare analytical reports and certificates of analysis.
