Job summary

STI Polymer is seeking a Polymer Production Technician (Entry Level) on full-time, with 2nd and 3rd shift openings and 1st shift training for about 45 days. Starting pay is $18.00/hour plus shift differential, with opportunities for advancement through our Polymer Operations Career Pathway.

You will support safe and efficient polymer production, including draining, connecting hoses, filtering, packaging, weighing materials, and general production support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Drain polymer from production reactors into totes and drums.
  • Connect, monitor, and handle industrial hoses and equipment.
  • Filter finished products according to quality specifications.
  • Package and prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Weigh and stage raw materials for production.
  • Assist with material movement and production support activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Work closely with team members to support production goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment

Physical & Work Requirements

This position must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Regular lifting of materials up to 50 pounds
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • Climbing stairs throughout the production facility
  • Working in a manufacturing environment around production equipment
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator when necessary
