Job summary

STI Polymer is seeking entry-level Polymer Production Technicians to join our manufacturing team in North Carolina. You will help drive safe, efficient production of polymer products and gain exposure to multiple steps in the Polymer Operations career pathway.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour plus shift differential, with training on first shift for about 45 days before transitioning to assigned shifts. We value safety, teamwork, and ongoing skill development for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Draining polymer from production reactors into totes and drums.
• Connecting, monitoring, and handling industrial hoses and equipment.
• Filtering finished products according to quality specifications.
• Packaging and preparing finished goods for shipment.
• Weighing and staging raw materials for production.
• Assisting with material movement and production support activities.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Following all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Working closely with team members to support production goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience
• Forklift experience
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment

Previous experience is helpful but not required. We provide training for individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Physical & Work Requirements

This position must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Regular lifting of materials up to 50 pounds
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Climbing stairs throughout the production facility
• Working in a manufacturing environment around production equipment
• Wearing required personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator when necessary
