Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH seeks a skilled process operator to operate mixing and packaging equipment in accordance with formulations and safety standards. You will maintain clean manufacturing areas, attend shift and safety meetings, and report changes with accuracy.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs, leading quality checks, and handling PPE and lab testing per QC/QA protocols. The role requires flexibility for shifts, including overnight and weekends, and the ability to lift heavy loads

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and proper handling.
• Basic mathematical and computer literacy.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Familiarity with polymer manufacturing specifications and raw materials.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight and weekends.
• Ability to continuously lift 50-55 lbs and meet fitness for duty requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixing and packaging equipment per formulations and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain plant manufacturing areas and equipment regularly.
• Attend shift meetings and safety sessions, reporting shifts and completing safety evaluations.
• Review product specs and formulations for proper safety equipment and material specs using checklists.
• Lead quality review of equipment operation and production outcomes, troubleshoot issues and report findings.
• Obtain and use the appropriate PPE, maintaining PPE condition and storage.
• Conduct in-process laboratory testing following QC/QA protocol.
