Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in the USA Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Material Laboratory Technician I to design and implement test methods for polymer testing. You will join a high-functioning team supporting aerospace, health and medical segments, and fellow R&D colleagues.

You will design experiments, analyze data, write reports, and ensure compliance with ISO17025 while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree required in a scientific field (Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar).
• Lab experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills required.
• Technical writing skills required.
• Experience with 5S practices is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and run multiple projects concurrently including timelines, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and communicating results.
• Design tests aligned with material development to characterize polymers' physical and thermal properties.
• Design and perform data analysis.
• Prepare, implement, and interpret test requirements per ASTM, customer, and other industry specs.
• Perform investigations of product failure analysis.
• Benchmark operations with other labs to verify competence and maintain accreditation.
• Write technical reports and presentations.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant technical areas and develop new industry methods where none exist.
• Develop skills to provide support and expertise to others as required.
• Follow ISO17025 lab procedures and maintain compliance with quality, safety, environmental rules.
